My First Drive in the McLaren P1 [Shmee's Adventures]

This is the kind of dream day you never forget! Having arrived at the hotel for the start of Rallye Germania, driving a Koenigsegg Agera R, I met Vlad, the son of the owner of this spectacular MSO McLaren P1 who asked his father if it was possible for me to take a drive in the British hypercar... fortunately for me the answer was yes!

Naturally with just an opportunity for a short drive in town, I wasn't truly able to push the car but it was fantastic to get a feel for McLaren's exceptional hybrid machine. Baring a lot of similarities to the 650S to which I am so used to driving, but with so much added power from the instant torque of the electric motors, and of course the ability to drive in pure e-mode!

Hopefully I will have an opportunity in a more suitable environment for a more technical review of the McLaren P1, but I'm not going to complain about such a spectacular opportunity to give you a first driving impression! A huge thanks of course to Vlad for arranging this, and his father for permission to drive the car.
