Quem esperava mais um passeio da Porsche na classificação para as 6 Horas de Nürburgring, realizada neste sábado, surpreendeu-se com o resultado: a Audi dominou a primeira fila, com o #7 - apenas com Andre Lotterer e Marcel Fässler, desfalcados de Benoit Treluyér neste final de semana - largando na frente pela segunda vez nesta temporada do Mundial de Endurance, com o tempo médio de 1min39s444.
Apesar de Lucas di Grassi, no Audi #8 - dividido com Loic Duval e Oliver Jarvis - ter feito a melhor volta da classificação, com 1min38s777, Jarvis não conseguiu manter uma média que superasse a dos companheiros de equipe, ficando a 0s266s da pole.
A segunda fila foi toda da Porsche, com o #1, conduzido por Mark Webber e Timo Bernhard na sessão, à frente do #2, guiado por Marc Lieb e Neel Jani. A Toyota, que ficou a minutos de vencer as 24 Horas de Le Mans, não foi bem neste sábado, ficando apenas na terceira fila: o #6, que teve kamui Kobayashi e Stéphane Sarrazin, ficou a mais de um segundo da média da pole, com o #5, de Sébastien Buemi e Anthony Davidson logo atrás.
LMP2
na LMP2, a G-Drive ficou com a pole. O #26, conduzido por René Rast e Roman Rusinov na classificação, estabeleceu a média de 1min48s985, colocando 0s742 em cima do #36 da Signatech, guiado por Gustavo Menezes e Stephane Richelmi, que ficou em segundo.
O melhor brasileiro na sessão foi Bruno Senna, que larga em quarto com o #43 da RGR, enquanto Antonio Pizzonia, retornando ao WEC, parte em quinto com o #44 da Manor. Pipo Derani, agora conduzindo o carro da ESM Tequila Patrón com pneus Michelin, larga em sétimo.
Aston Martin pole na LMGTE-Pro; Porsche à frente na LMGTE-Am
A batalha na LMGTE-Pro foi vencida pela Aston Martin, que viu o #95, de Nicki Thiim e Marco Sorensen superar o Ford GT #66, de Stefan Mucke e Oliver Pla por 0s247 para ficar com a posição de honra no grid da classe.
Já na classe LMGTE-Am, a primeira fila foi dominada por carros da Porsche, com o #88 de Pat Long e Khaled Al-Qubaisi batendo o #78 de Wolf Henzler e Joel Camathias por apenas 0s186.
